Pastor Ongeri Muluka of Kibera said most of the major scandals in marriage can either lead to separation, divorce or death.

‘‘We often hear news of a person who killed his wife or a wife who killed her husband. This shows how delicate marriage is and it needs to be addressed with caution,’’ he said.

‘‘Every conflict has a source. In marriage, most of these conflicts erupt from petty things that could have been addressed earlier,’’ he added.

Ongeri now wants every married couple to have a person whom they can channel their complaints to. According to him, this can reduce the likelihood of the conflict building up by 60%.

‘‘If only a couple can have their adviser whom they can approach and report each other, this would be very good. The couple will reduce the chances of their petty conflicts building up to bigger conflicts,’’ he said.
