Milimani chief magistrate Francis Andayi adjourned the hearing to May 3, 2018.

The adjournment was granted following an application by Muthama’s lawyer John Khaminwa who  told the court that his client was engaged in official and important function and could  not attend the hearing.

Muthama is charged alongside activist Japheth Muroko with incitement to violence.

The two are charged with allegedly making inflammatory remarks on September 23, 2015 at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.

The prosecution says that it has witnesses and is ready to continue with the hearing.

Muthama and Muroko had denied the incitement   to violence charge  and are out on Sh100, 000 cash bail each.
