Bomet County Governor Joyce Laboso's administration will not succeed in plans to sack county officials.
This is after the High Court ordered the county to stop the planned sacking of community and area administrators until a case the officials filed is heard and determined.
Four administrators last week sued the county public service board and its chairman Joseph Terer accusing them of planning to lay them off illegally.
The hearing of the case will be on October 2.
Earlier, governor Laboso said her administration will not renew contracts to the employees once their term expires.
She said immediately the employees' term expires, they will be removed from the county payroll to reduce the county wage bill.
She maintained that a staff audit will be done transparently and that those who will be sacked, legal procedures will be followed.
