The four women were on Monday charged for allegedly conspiring to commit a terror attack at the police station.

Haniya Saggar, Luul Ali, Nasteho Ali and Zamzam Abdallahi were jointly charged with Tasmin Abdullahi, Ramla Abdirahman and Maimuna Abdirahim for allegedly conspiring to attack central police station on September 11.

They were also charged with failing to disclose information which could have prevented the terror attack.

The court heard that on September 5, at Kanamai area within Kilifi County and Mvita area in Mombasa County, the four accused persons failed to disclose information which could have prevented the Central police station attack.

The accused persons however pleaded not guilty to all charges before Shanzu principal magistrate Diana Mochache.

The accused persons through their lawyer Jared Magolo filed an application to be released on a reasonable bond term, saying it is their constitutional right.

“The prosecution had not given evidence linking the suspects to a terrorist group. The court should dismiss the application to oppose bond,” said lawyer Magolo.

Magistrate Mochache ordered for the accused persons to be detained saying she will deliver her ruling on the bond application in the next case hearing on September 28.

Saggar was arrested at her home and detained for seven days after it was alleged that she received money from one of the terror suspects killed during the attack.

Luul aged 25, Nasteho aged 22 and Zamzam aged 21 were last week released by a Mombasa court after the prosecution failed to give compelling reason to have them detained, but were re-arrested a few minutes after being released.
