Kisumu High Court Judge David Majanja has dismissed an election petition that had been filed by EX Governor Jack Ranguma challenging election of Governor Anyang Nyong'o.
Nyong'o was set to know his fate on Wednesday, at the Kisumu High court.
In his petition, Former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma claims the election was marred by massive irregularities and malpractices and that the IEBC was working in tandem with his opponent Nyongo.
At least 15 IEBC witnesses, who include County Returning Officer John Cox testified in support of the declaration of Nyong’o win, a similar script on Rangumas side.
However, if Ranguma feels the verdict was not proper he can opt to challenge the decision at the Court of appeal.
