Laikipia North MP Mathew Lempurkel has been acquitted murder charges. 

The ODM lawmaker was accused of being behind the killing of Tristan Voorspuy, a British rancher, at his Sosian ranch, Laikipia, March 5, 2017. 

Nanyuki Senior Resident Magistrate Evans Ngige dismissed the case after the prosecution, through Caroline Muriu, told the Court, they ahd not gathered enough evidence to charge Lempurkel. 

She n Monday revealed other three suspects were in custody one of them had been charged with murder of the same. 

The rancher was reportedly killed by angry herdsmen who were looking for water and pasture in the region.
