The Appellate Court has granted the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU), seven more days, to find solution and end its nationwide strike.

Appearing before Judges Hannah Okwengu, Jamila Mohamed and Wanjiru Karanja, KMPDU lawyers senators James Orengo, Mutula Kilonzo (Makueni) and Philip Murgor (presidential aspirant), they said their clients were about to reach a solution with the government.

They said if the Court issued a ruling with negative impact on the doctors, a solution to end the strike which started December 5, 2016, would not be reached.

Doctors officials are continuing with negotiations with Health Ministry, even as Council of Governors (CoG) insists they should go back to work, as talks continue.

The ruling was issued, Thursday.
