The High Court on Thursday stopped the arrest of former NYS Deputy Director General Adan Harakhe.

According to the court, the decision was reached awaiting the outcome of a pending inter-party hearing set for Tuesday, November 22.

“Pending the inter-part hearing there should be no arrest or charge of the applicant,” High Court Judge, Hedwig Ong’udi, directed.

In the case, Harakhe moved to court under a certified of urgency saying that there are plans by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Keriako Tobiko, to charge him, at the behest of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) interested party in an effort to intimidate him into conceding the civil suit of a pending case.
