Elected leaders expelled by the Wiper party got a reprieve after the political parties tribunal suspended the decision by Wiper party to expel them.
The six include Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua, Kilome MP Regina Ndambuki, Kaiti MP Richard Makenga, Mbooni's Kisoi Munyao, John Munuve of Mwingi North and Joe Mutambu of Mwingi Central.
The Wiper party NGC ratified the decision to suspend the six leaders.
According to their Lawyer Kioko Kilukumi, Wiper party's Constitution is inconsistent with Article 24(2)(a) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and should not be used to take any disciplinary action against the legislators.
Further, the Constitution which Wiper Party Disciplinary Committee used to expel them is not Gazetted.
