The Mombasa High Court has issued an arrest warrant for an American citizen for allegedly killing a Kenyan businessman in what is said to be a love triangle.
Jacob Schmalze will now be arrested after Lady Justice Assenath Ongeri ordered for his arrest whose identity has been traced to Oakland USA.
Senior Director of Public Prosecution Vincent Monda also told the court that Schmalze is being sought for over the murder of Nairobi businessman Jimmy Baburam.
According to detectives who stood before the High Court, Schamlze went on the run after discovering that police were seeking him over the murder.
Schalmze and Ms Amina Shiraz have allegedly been in a love triangle and conspired to drown Jimmy in a swimming pool in Watamu on July 26 2015 after the family went on vacation.
Shiraz has already been arrested and charged with murder.
