The high court has issued a warrant of arrest against the national youth service cash theft suspect Josephine Kabura.

This is after she failed to appear before the court today for the hearing of their money laundering case.

Kabura is one of the 11 suspects charged with claims of stealing Sh791 million from NYS.

The high court last week declined to stop the dpp from charging Ms Kabura and 10 others over the NYS scam. 

Kabura and her co-accused wanted to stop their prosecution insisting that there was no prove to substantiate that they laundered money.

The 11 suspects were set to appear before the high court today.

However, Ms Kabura snubed the proceedings Kabura has stood by the contents of her affidavit concerning the national youth service (NYS) scandal and alleged a cover-up in investigations.

Other suspects facing the similar charges as Kabura include businessman Ben Gethi, his mother Charity Wangui, businesswoman Josephine Kabura and lawyer Patrick Ogolla.
