A Mombasa High court has issued a warrant of arrest for four security guards linked to the death of a banker in Nyali. The four allegedly attacked the banker for relieving himself in the business premises they were guarding on January 7.

Two of the guards-Hamisi Hare Karisa and Saidi Mwamuye Mwalungo are being held by police for allegedly causing the untimely death of David Kamau Wokabi. The two appeared in court on January 10 where they were charged with assault, but they denied and were freed on bail.

The arrest warrant was issued after they failed to appear in court following states plans to press murder charges against them. The court issues a second warrant of arrest for the two other guards who were at the scene of the incident.

The identities of the other two, who are also employees of Solvit Security Solutions Limited, are yet to be revealed despite the firm has released footage of what transpired before the death of the banker. In a directive, High Court Deputy Registrar George Kiage on Tuesday asked the police to arrest the two for not honoring the court. The arrested guards were detained and questioned over the murder of the banker.
