Two terror suspects believed to be working for an international terrorism network will remain in custody for two weeks pending the mentioning of their case.
Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi made the directive after Robert Nsale and Morgan Kamande were arraigned in court following their arrest by the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit.
The two are said to be ICT experts hacking computer systems belonging to telecommunication service providers and key installations in the country.
They had initially been arrested on March 31 and freed on bond in connection with the unauthorised access of telecommunications company Safaricom's systems.
Police apprehended them again on Wednesday in relation to hacking activities linked to ISIS.
Nsale and Kamande are also facing charges of illegally hacking into Safaricom's system leading to the loss of an unspecified amount of money.
Prosecution had requested that the two be detained for 30 days to allow for more investigations but reached a deal with defence lawyers and agreed that they be held for 15 days.
Their case will e mentioned on April 21.
Their detention came a day after police in Garissa arrested seven suspected human traffickers also accused of facilitating terrorism activities in North Eastern Kenya.
The seven, police said, belonged to a Mogadishu-based agency that helps Somali immigrants acquire Kenya identification documents.
