While giving the verdict yesterday Resident Magistrate Maisy Chesang postponed the case whereby she said she could not preside over the case since it was been handled by Senior Principal Magistrate Desderias Orimba.

The four suspects Cyrus Mutunga, Dominic Mutua, Stephen Irungu and Ronald Ngala are facing four counts; murder, robbery with violence, being in possession of stolen property and handling stolen property.

The accused are said to have invaded the late Prof Nzuve home at Kyakatulu at Matungulu sub-county on December 12, 2015  armed with pistols and robbed him three laptops, three mobile phones, two wrist watches, a wedding ring and three ATM cards before shooting him dead.

The four have however denied the allegations. The case will be heard on August 11 this year.
