The Employment and Labour relations court has ruled that three Garissa County executive committee members were unlawfully sacked from office.
Presiding over the case, Lady Justice Hellen Wasilwa ruled in favour of the trio on grounds that Garissa Governor Nathif Jama violated the labour laws by demeaning Section 31 and 40 of the County Act.
In the ruling, the county was ordered that the three be paid with immediate effect their dues including salaries, compensation, graduates, leave notices and other allowances for a period of 24 months.
The court also ordered that the three be reinstated to their duties with immediate effect. The county was also directed to pay all the court damages.
