Machakos High Court has reinstated Mua ward MCA Francis Ngunga as the Machakos County Assembly's leader of majority barely a day after he was ousted by his colleagues.
The elated Ngunga said he was going to stand by the truth even if he would be left alone.
“The strongest man is the one who stands alone by the truth, I will not lead them by force but everything should be procedural," Ngunga said.
He thanked the court for granting him stay orders urging his counterparts to stay focused on the mandate granted to them by the electorates.
Ngunga who addressed the press outside Machakos High Court on Thursday, said Wiper party lacks internal democracy.
“I have not even heard from the party, this is betrayal of the highest order,” Ngunga said.
The furious MCA described his would be predecessor as, a “con man imposter”, who imposed a coup for his selfish interests .
Ngunga said he will soldier on unless he is granted fair hearing.
Coincidentally, Muendo hails from the same ward with the assembly's speaker, Florence Mwangangi.
Muendo, however, said he was not ready to answer any summons if Ngunga files the legal suit.
The court's stay orders open another chapter of divisions among the MCAs, with some vowing to fully recognize Ngunga as their leader.
