Jane Muthoni, who is accused of killing her husband Solomon Mwangi, Kiru boys principal has been denied bail for the third time by a Kiambu court.
Muthoni's lawyer Francis Njanja told Kiambu High court Judge Joel Ngugi that his client is suffering a gynecological problem which the prison hospital where she is being detained is unable to treat.
Njanja further told the court that his client wants the freedom to visit Icaciri secondary school where she served as a principal to hand over the house she was living in and prepare her children back to school.
The lawyer also said Muthoni needs to address an issue after her sister in law withdrew Sh1 million from the family account without her consent.
However, Wokabi Mathenge, a lawyer representing the deceased rubbished the claims saying the sister in law withdrew the money from an account owned by deceased and his sister.
The prosecution opposed the application for the suspect to be released on bail and asked the prison clinic health officer to give report that Muthoni has been receiving treatment at the facility and if the facility is unable to treat her ailment, she be referred to Kenyatta National Hospital.
Justice Ngugi directed prison department to take the accused to Icaciri secondary to hand over.
The hearing was set for January 22 and 23.
