A Mombasa court has postponed a case in which Governor Hassan Joho is challenging a probe into his alleged forging of a secondary school examination result slip. The case could not be heard, the court was told, because Joho's lead lawyer, Senator James Orengo, was appearing before a three-judge bench in Nairobi in a NASA coalition case against the IEBC. The governor’s other lawyers, Dennis Mosota and Julie Soweto, thus asked Judge Eric Ogola to hear the matter at a later date. “The matter is being heard today. We are seeing an adjustment,” Ms Soweto said, as quoted by Nation. The case will be heard on July 20, 2017.
