The Judiciary has revealed plans to set up Magistrate courts in every Sub-county across the country.
This is what the Chief Justice David Maraga says will ensure every Kenyan has easy access to judicial services.
Speaking during a visit to Eldoret Law courts, Friday, Maraga urged devolved units to help the Judiciary in ensuring the success of the plan by setting aside land for the courts.
"We want to ask county government to consider allocating at least two acres of land in every sub county for court promises as this will make it easier for us rather than having to first purchase the land and then start planing to construct the courts," noted the Chief Justice.
"Our aim is to take services close to mwananchi. We want to move as close as possible to the people," he added.
Earlier, the Judiciary boss paid a courtesy call to governor Jackson Mandago who pledged to help facilitate the opening of a Magistrate court in Moiben.
"We have a structure in Moiben that housed colonial court and we will see to it that it's renovated so that this program can start here in Uasin Gishu," Mandago said.
