Kenya Films Classification Board (KFCB) chairman Ezekiel Mutua has said that the crackdown on public service vehicles playing pornographic content will go on in Kisii.
Mutua addressing the press in Kisii town on Sunday said KFCB will only allow vehicles with licenses to play music and videos.
“Matatus with licenses will only be allowed to play rated music and videos to passengers,” he said.
He said KFCB officers and police officers will not stop the war on PSVs playing music illegally.
"We are not going to stop the war until some level of sanity is brought back to the matatu sector. Matatu operators are advised to follow the set KFCB rules or be arrested,” he said.
Mutua noted that PSVs are subjecting passengers to mental and emotional agony by being exposed to pornographic videos.
He said crackdowns will be intensified across the country to ensure matatus does not play pornographic videos.
