Speaking on Monday in Butere Kakamega County, area MP Tindi Mwale and his Lugari counterpart Ayub Savula both of ANC said that they cannot allow to be ‘mistreated’ within the coalition and that they will front their party leader for presidency in 2022.

“There are no infightings within ANC, we are united and we are fully behind our party leader. In 2022 we will front Musalia Mudavadi as our presidential candidate,” Mr. Mwale said.

In addition, Savula said they have information that the other faction led by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi are being used by the Deputy President William Ruto to scuttle Mudavadi’s 2022 ambitions.

“We have seen some local MPs going to the DP’s house, we know them and we will name them. I would have contested on Jubilee Party but I opted for ANC because I know what we want,” Savula said.

Savula and Mwale lead a group that is campaigning for ANC’s withdrawal from NASA while Malala and Osotsi accuse the two of being used by DP Ruto to undermine NASA’s unity.
