A major crisis is looming in the opposition NASA coalition with a section of MPs from Gusii region demanding that they get a fair share of parliamentary leadership.

On Wednesday, Raila Odinga and his team will be having a mega strategic meeting with house leadership positions slated among the agenda.

"The meeting has been postponed to Wednesday. Jostling of parliamentary seats will be among issues to be discussed," revealed the Sunday Nation.

But regardless of the parties, two MPs from Gusii wants NASA to consider any of their colleague to either PAC or PSC committee, which have attracted high competition.

Borabu MP Ben Momanyi (Wiper) said the community had no business of supporting Raila Odinga if he failed to address some of their concerns.

"We are not flower girls in NASA. Our presence must be acknowledged through  parliamentary leadership," he said.

West Mugirango MP Kemosi Mogaka added: "Gusii community voted overwhelmingly for NASA and we shall rethink if we get nothing. That is a guarantee."

Understandably, it is Momanyi who forced Speaker Justin Muturi to suspend debate on nominees to PSC after complaining on list tabled by NASA.

Should their proposal pass, then Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati will be among those to be considered.
