The secret unity deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his political nemesis Raila Odinga continues to meet resistance from a section of ODM leaders barely a month after the historic meeting.

Last week Siaya Senator James Orengo poked holes in the pact, insisting that it could erode Raila's reputation due to Jubilee's blatant disrespect to the rule of law.

And in Nyamira, a section of ODM leaders now want Raila to review his stand, insisting that the move could ruin his political career.

"The handshake was totally uncalled for. It is spoiling Raila's reputation even before a month," said Douglas Maati, ODM Youth League leader for Kitutu Masaba.

He added: "The deal should be cancelled. Raila should not be party to impunity as portrayed in Miguna Miguna's saga."

While dismissing the deal, area ODM interim chair Richard Kaka, said the deal should be reviewed in line with he constitution.

Since penning the secret deal, Raila has neither revealed the content nor shared with top NASA stalwarts according to multiple sources.
