The latest casualty is the outgoing Machakos County Assembly's majority leader Francis Ngunga who was ousted from the seat  by his colleagues and replaced by Kinanie MCA Mark Muendo on Tuesday.

Coincidentally, Muendo hails from the same family with Machakos County Assembly's speaker Florence Mwangangi.

Severe divisions are eminent as a section of Wiper MCA’S have vowed to back Ngunga as he seeks legal redress, but they did not want to be quoted on press.

National Super Alliance ( NASA) affiliate members in the assembly ejected the firebrand politician for alleged  high headedness , pride and arrogance.

Ngunga on his part cited lack of democracy in Wiper party.

“This is interesting and baffling. If this is the way party issues are run, then I would rather remain by myself," Ngunga said.

He said the move would kick out innocent party members and is likely to derail Kalonzo’s presidency dream come 2022.

Last week, Wiper chairman and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana hinted ditching the party citing internal leadership differences in the party which jeopardize the unity of Kamba community at large.

“I will meet the party leader and ask him why some people in the party are not respecting us. Since we are seen as foreigners, then let Kalonzo find another person for my position," Kibwana said.

Kibwana accused a section of Wiper MCAs and some MPs of undermining and disrespecting him.

“I am tired of Wiper's nominated MCAs who feel that they are the owners of Wiper party and end up calling me a thief. They think by doing so, they are supporting Kalonzo but that is a mere destruction," he added.

Kibwana addressed a congregation at Mulilii Catholic Church in Makindu on Sunday.

Early this month, the former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama hosted all Ukambani Wiper leaders and supporters at his Koma ranch in Kangundo, a move pundits said was a way of stamping authority in the party.

Muthama broke ranks with his party boss last year after controversial party primaries, prompting him not to defend his senatorial seat on a Wiper ticket citing iresolvable differences with his party boss.

However, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua who leads Maendeleo Chap Chap party ( MCC-P)  would be the biggest beneficiary of this war.

Mutua has been touring the rest of the country popularizing his 2022 presidential bid hence the Kamba Community might find him a favorable candidate to back other than Kalonzo.
