1. Furcifer Laborde Chameleons
These chameleons normally mate in January. The business of mating to these animals is a nasty experience. The male and female keep fighting during the mating process. If the animals do not kill each other, then the hormones of aggression overpower them until they die. The animals spend most of their lives as egg while buried in the sand.
2. The Male Antechinus
These males die after the first time of successful mating. The stress of breeding ends up destroying the immune systems of these animals to the point that they can no longer live. While the female can live to breed for another season, all the males will definitely die.
3. Male Praying Mantis
The female praying mantis normally bites the male one once they had a mate to death. The mantis bites off the head of the male partner as soon as they are done with sex. The male thrusts more vigorously compared to the female praying mantis during mating.
4. Male Australian Redback Spiders
These spiders do not die the natural death of other lizards and mammals. Just like the black widow female spider, these insects die after they have finished mating. Some of them die immediately while others die hours after doing so.
5. The Male Phascogale
The phascogale rarely engages in sex. The male dies once it has mated with female. They are the only known largest mammal that dies after steamy sex.
