Machakos County Deputy Governor Engineer Francis Maliti has challenged entrepreneurs from within Kenya and other countries to invest in Machakos County.Maliti who was speaking during a business forum at a Machakos hotel said that the County government aims at reducing the rate of unemployment among youths in Machakos."We acknowledge the importance of industries in job and wealth creation as well as in the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through subcontracting," said Maliti.The deputy governor added that the County government's aim is to make Machakos County the home of manufacturing in Kenya.He acknowledged that that can only be achieved through the creation of an enabling environment which will, in turn, make Machakos the premier investment hub in the region. 

Thus, the goal is to facilitate and not frustrate businesses. The forum had attracted a large number of youths and entrepreneurs within Machakos, Nairobi, Kisumu, and Kakamega Counties.
