Kisii county Senator Chris Obure has challenged Kisii county government and The National Highways Authority to cooperate and create space at Daraja Mbili market to end congestion.
Obure said the congestion at Daraja Mbili has prompted many accident tragedies and there is a need for the county government and national highways authority to do something and create space.
“We have been promised by the county to expand Daraja Mbili market many times and nothing has been done on the ground, I want to challenge the current county leadership and NHA to make sure it creates space to end congestion at Daraja Mbili,” Obure told the press on Sunday
He also challenged the county to remove roadside traders at Daraja Mbili and give them space somewhere to do their business to avoid tragedies at the place
He promised to raise the question in the senate to ask why policemen shot innocent individual on Thursday last week.
