Insecurity cases have declined in Nyamiara North District, Nyamira County, are commissioner has said.
Nyamira North District Assistant Commissioner Thomas Saka said that this has been an achievement to the county, and it is with the efforts of the residents of Nyamira North working with the police that it was achieved.
Saka said that they recently arrested nine criminals, and were able to recover two guns in the process.
“We have had security challenges before, but with the efforts of law enforcers, the chiefs and their assistants and the residents you can confirm with me that for the past three months things have been in control,” he said.
“We also managed to arrest nine people who had gone to steal from residents of Magwagwa but one dropped his phone and we were able to get to them,” he said.
The Assistant commissioner also called on the residents to keep on with the same spirit without fear, to ensure that they continue to live peacefully by getting enough security from police officers.
“I want to urge you to give us information without fear so that we can be able to provide you with enough security as Kenyans, and we shall immediately take action,” he said.
