Kajiado governor David Ndekianye's re-election bid has received a major boost ahead of the August polls following the endorsement of his re-election by Senator Peter Mositet and ex-gubernatorial candidate on Jubilee Tarayia Ole Kores.
Ndekianye will be seeking re-election on an ODM Party ticket. The two vowed to campaign against Jubilee gubernatorial nominee and former Interior CS Joseph Ole Lenku.Speaking on Friday, they revealed that they had arrived at the decision after wide consultations.“I will support the Nasa gubernatorial candidate. No one cared to address our concerns on the party nominations," Mositet, a key ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta noted. He further accused Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery of meddling in local politics, leading to his lose of the Jubilee Party ticket during the primaries.“We are seeing provincial administration being used to intimidate the current governor. I will tell Nkaissery votes cannot be demanded by force,” he observed.
