A new crisis is threatening the strength of ODM after a scandal was unearthed following the party's nominations exercise.

According to the Nation, fraud and forgery saw the outfit send a new list of nominated candidates to the IEBC.

Orange House has reportedly pointed an accusatory finger at junior officers in the IT department for colluding with the commission's IT counterparts to substitute names, without  the party’s knowledge.

The changes, which are said to have been made in the dead of the night just two days ago, affected mainly Nyatike, Nyakach, Muhoroni, and Kisumu East constituencies with a number of other wards across the country affected.

The changes were reportedly effected at the electoral commission at 2 am on Wednesday.

However, Orange House has said they cannot trace the said IT officer and do not have the power to correct the document since he is the only one with the password to the document.

This comes at a crucial moment, just hours before IEBC closed submissions and gazetted the list of candidates.
