Maangi urged critics to help Governor James Ongwae in giving quality services to the people of Kisii County.

“In politics, there must be criticism everyone knows that. Governor James Ongwae and I will not give our ears open to critics who have an ill intention to frustrate the efforts we have to develop Kisii County,” he said.

Maangi said the planned set up of a sugar factory in South Mugirango must go on.

“Some local leaders in South Mugirango are opposing the construction of a sugar factory in the region. The factory will be set up whether they like it or not because it will benefit our people to get jobs and farmers from Bonchari, Bomachoge and South Mugirnago will sell their canes directly to the factory for processing,” added Maangi.

Maangi reiterated that politicians who lost during the last year’s polls should consider supporting winners as they wait for 2022 to try the luck again.

He called on residents to shun leaders who have the intention of inciting them to cause chaos meant to derail development.
