Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed on Thursday met Portuguese Ambassador to Ethiopia Henriques de Azeredo Malheiro in her office.
The envoy was in the country to deliver the Portuguese president Marcelo Rebelo De Sousa's message of congratulation to President Uhuru Kenyatta following his re-election and inauguration for the second term.
''Glad to receive H.E Alfonso Henriques de Azedero Malheiro,ambasador of Portugal to Ethipia when he delivered a congratulatory message from President Marcelo de Sousa for H.E Uhuru Kenyatta on being sworn in for a second term,'' Ambassador Amina posted on her Twitter account Thursday.
President Kenyatta was sworn-in Tuesday in an event that was attended by several African heads of states,their deputies,envoys and representatives.
He vowed to create better international relationship between Kenya and the outside world in a move aimed at attracting foreign investors and peaceful co-existence especially with the neighboring countries under the East African Community.
