Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed's chase car and that of Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya were on Thursday evening involved in a road accident.
The accident happened near Chavakali township along Kisumu- Kakamega Highway.
Speaking after the incident, Oparanya noted that no one was injured.
The Kakamega County chief further urged Kenyans to be calm noting that they were safe.
"My chase has this evening been involved in an accident with @AMB_A_Mohammed chase car near Chavakali township," Oparanya wrote on twitter, Thursday.
"No injuries have been reported so far. I urge all of you to be calm because we are safe," he added.
