Youths and Gender Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki has been said to be conducting night campaigns for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.
Kariuki allegedly campaigned for Uhuru in Embu last Saturday despite calls by the opposition that all ministers desist from the same.
Kariuki, who hails from Embu, opened a street lighting project at Manyatta town around 8pm, where she told residents to vote Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto.
She said the two have fulfilled their electoral pledges.
She told the locals Jubilee has uplifted their living standards through the Last-Mile electricity connectivity project that will allow them to do their business 24 hours a day.
Kariuki urged them to ignore NASA, arguing that its leaders are only focused on inciting citizens and spreading propaganda.
She was accompanied by Kenya Forest Service director Emilio Mugo, Embu Woman representative Rose Mitaru, Manyatta MP John Muchiri, Maendeleo Chap Chap Manyatta MP candidate John Gitonga, and senior Kenya Power Company officials.
