The CS said connection projects have been launched in various parts of the country.

“We have lowered the connection of power from Sh35,000 to Sh15,000 so all Kenyans can access power in their homes,” Keter said.

Under the last mile project, KP is to connect households within 600 metres of targeted 5,320 transformers countrywide at a cost of Sh15,000 from a previous power connection cost of Sh35,000.

The project is funded by the African Development Bank
