Agriculture CS Willy Bett has said that opposition leader Raila Odinga is using the ongoing food crisis for political gains.
Speaking on Wednesday, Bett further refuted claims that the flour shortages was man made.
"The government intervened and waived duty on maize imports as an incentive to lower the price of maize flour."
He said the state has not preserved the importation of maize to a few dealers.
"It was open to anyone as long as they met the required standards contrary to the opposition leader's assertion," Bett said.
Bett was responding to Raila who had earlier said that the government officials should be sacked.
