Kariuki opined that the Jubilee government has done a lot for the past four years, adding that it deserves another term in office.

She was speaking in Kitui East when she launched National Youth Service programme in the constituency. She also dismissed the opposition for faulting the current government for initiating projects across the nation as we head to the polls.

“They say the timing raises eyebrows, especially given that the election is around the corner. Government functions don’t grind to a halt during polls,” she said, as quoted by Star.

She added: “Anyone who has eyes and ears can attest the Jubilee government has performed impressively and it means well for this nation.”

The CS also revealed that over 500 youths are going to be hired through the programme as the government puts in place measures to ensure there is reduced unemployment.

In the meantime, both President Uhuru and NASA Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga are banking on the support from Ukambani to clinch power after August.
