Lands Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi has faced the wrath of Njuri Ncheke elders for allegedly dividing the community. 

This is the second time the CS has been cursed by the council over his stand in matters of national interest.

The elders met at Nchiru shrine in Tigania West on Saturday where the cast a spell on the CS. Led Josephat Murangiri (Secretary general) and Linus Kathera (chairman) the elders faulted Kaimenyi for allegedly supporting a rival group despite having pushed for him to be named in his current post.

"We are the ones who lobbied for Kaimenyi to be appointed Cabinet Secretary. We urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack him and replace him with someone else," they said, as quoted by Star.

The elders also said that the will march in protest all the way to State house to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta over Kaimenyi’s misconduct if he is not fired smoked out of office by June 14.

The council also extended its wrath to Chuka University Vice Chancellor Elias Njoka for allegedly being part of the leaders who have divided them.

 On his part, Kaimenyi has insisted that it is wrong for the elders to curse him.

"We know a council does not force people to join...people are selected and asked to join at their own will," he said.
