The Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Interior and Coordination, CS Mwangi Kiunjuri, has urged the county bosses to take advantage of the best of their last four and a half years of good practices, lessons learnt, relationships built and the good promises made to their people but not yet delivered.
Speaking at Diani Reef Hotel, CS. Kiunjuri encouraged governors that the state of Kenyan devolution was working well and strong like never before.
“As you settle into the great responsibility that you have been given, I want to assure you, honorable governors, without fear of contradiction that the state of our devolution is strong; devolution is working,” said Kiunjuri as quoted by Council of Governors tweet on Thursday.
Prof. Karega Mutahi representing the National Government, expounded on the good practices in inter-governmental process, the progress of audit and verification of assets and liabilities of the defunct local authorities.
The Governors Induction Meeting is expected to last for three days.
