City lawyer Donald Korir now wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i on grounds that he has 'terminated' dreams of young Kenyans.
Praised and condemned in equal measure, under his tenure, Matiang'i has overseen critical changes with the once rotten sector that was overshadowed by exam malpractices.
But Korir argues that Matiang'i has seen dreams of young Kenyans shattered in the name of examination moderation.
"He just wants to please powers. He sees 1 million children as failures . Under his tenure, over 5 million young Kenyans are wallowing in despair and depression.
"As Interior minister, more Kenyans were killed than anytime in our history. Even Children were not spared. He cannot be praised on the back of children whose dreams have been killed,' he said.
Under the interior ministry, Matiang'i has been accused of unleashing on innocent opposition protesters with over 200 believed to have been killed under his tenure.
With President Uhuru Kenyatta set to unveil a new cabinet, Matiang'i is expected to be one of few Cabinet Secretaries to survive.
