Kari primary school parents have called on the education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i to intervene into the conflict affecting their institution.
According to them, they are not satisfied with the current school leadership after a new school head was brought in.
Speaking to the press, parents lead by Christopher Maeba said they wanted the school deputy headteacher promoted to head the school after the former head teacher was elected to be KNUT secretary for Kisii Central branch.
They alleged that the current Kari primary head teacher is a cousin to Kisii Central Education officer Charles Nyaribo allegations that Nyaribo has denied.
"We can't allow such favouritism to continue in our school we are calling on Matiang’i to come and solve the conflict, our deputy headteacher has also been transferred from the school we fear the school is going to perform poorly,” said Maeba.
“But before that happens let Matiang intervene or we take our children to a different school,” added Maeba.
