Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has yet against put rogue teachers on notice adding that his ministry will not hesitate to crack a whip on them.
Matiangi also lauded committed teachers on their commitment to improve education standards in the country by working closely with learners.
“Most of our teachers are doing their work well in accordance to our regulations. They wake up early in the morning and ensure our children are thoroughly prepared for major tests,” he said when releasing KCSE examination results 2016 edition on Thursday.
“It is only a few of them who think that they can neglect their duties and go unpublished. We are going to work on them and streamline our education sector. Each one of us must take responsibility because that is what we are paid for,” he added.
The former ICT CS managed to release all national examinations before the traditional timeline with KCSE being released slightly over two months to the previous year’s timelines.
