Mining Cabinet Secretary (CS) Dan Kazungu has urged Coast residents not to be misled by National Super Alliance (NASA) rhetoric politics.Kazungu claimed that NASA has nothing to offer Coast people urging locals to completely shun the opposition advances.Speaking in Malindi town on Saturday, the Mining CS accused the opposition of using propaganda to woo voters ahead of the August 8 polls.Kazungu said NASA has no agenda for the country and can never be trusted with the country's leadership.“Don’t listen to their petty politics when they come here (Malindi) because they have nothing to offer you (locals),” said the CS as quoted by The Star. The Mining CS urged Coast residents to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election in the August polls.Kazungu said the Jubilee government has spearheaded trans-formative leadership and development in the Coast for the last four years.“We have seen development under Uhuru’s government and we have every reason to support his re-election in August,” he said.He said he will lead Jubilee campaigns at the Coast to drum up support for President Kenyatta’s re-election.Kazungu took a swipe at ODM leader Raila Odinga who has been questioning why Cabinet Secretaries are campaigning for Uhuru’s re-election, saying that he and other CSs have every right to tell Kenyans what the Jubilee government has done in the last four years. The CS at the same time called for tolerance across the political divide, and asked politicians to tone down and focus on peaceful campaigns ahead of the August 8 general election.
