Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich has asked Uasin Gishu residents to rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta so as to ensure he wins the repeat Presidential election by a landslide.
Speaking in Eldoret when he officially opened the 6th University of Eldoret Agri-Business Trade fair on Friday, Rotich exuded confidence that President Kenyatta will be reelected in the October 26 repeat poll.
"I don't want to speak more politics here but what I know is that in the next month's election 'Wembe ni ule ule'' noted the CS.
"We need to come out in large numbers and ensure President Kenyatta wins so that he continues with his development agenda," he added.
The soft spoken Rotich is rarely seen in Jubilee political meetings unlike some of his colleagues among the Mwangi Kiunjuri (Devolution), Eugene Wamalwa (Water) and Energy's Charles Keter who have been seen actively engaging in politics.
Another CS Najib Balala was recently picked to lead the Jubilee campaigns in the Coast, a key Opposition stronghold.Ends
