Mwangi Kiunjuri, who is the Cabinet Secretary for Devolution has rubbished a recent ‘fake’ poll which shows NASA leader Raila Odinga ahead President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Zogby, a United States polling firm, Raila leads with 47.4% and Uhuru trails with 46.4% with a margin error of +/- 2%.
The report which was released on Wednesday conducted over 2,900 direct interviews from July 8 to July 13 in all 47 counties in Kenya.
Kiunjuri believes Zogby is not credible and has given the wrong idea to Kenyans ahead of the August 8 elections.
"You cannot be a player and referee at the same time. You cannot do an opinion poll yet be the one on the ground. Fake opinion polls do not help," he said on Thursday as reported by The Star.
Kuinjuiri believes Jubilee is leading in the presidential race and stated that an opinion poll they carried out shows the incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta in the lead with 62%.
Both coalitions have been using international polling firms to provide them with data ahead of the August elections.
