Ford Kenya Party leaders have warned Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary against running for the Trans-Nzoia County governorship seat in the 2017 polls.
Speaking on Tuesday, Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa noted that Trans-Nzoia County has not fallen short of leaders and that the Water Cabinet Secretary will not be having it easy as 'he would imagine.'
“Eugene Wamalwa should know that Trans Nzoia has not run short of leaders. We are ready to ensure he is floored at the polls if he makes his intentions real,” he said.
Eugene Wamalwa hinted at vying for Trans-Nzoia's top seat last Saturday, months after he had expressed interest in the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.
Wamalwa is set to battle it out with the incumbent governor Patrick Khaemba and former ICC indictee and Radio Journalist Joshua Arap Sang'.
