There will be no election crisis even if fresh elections are not held within 60 days following the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win, Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has said. Speaking at St Paul ACK Church in Ukunda, Kwale alongside Governor Salim Mvurya, Wamalwa said National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have been misleading Kenyans by stating there is a looming constitutional crisis as we head to the fresh polls. The CS called upon Kenyans not to listen to cheap propaganda being spread by NASA leaders such as Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and Siaya Senator James Orengo."I have listened to Moses Wetang'ula and James Orengo...they are deliberately lying to Kenyans. Stop this fear-mongering on a constitutional crisis," said Wamalwa, as quoted by The Star. This comes after Attorney General Githu Muigai said President Uhuru will retain his full powers until another general election is conducted. On his part, Mvurya asked residents to turn out in large numbers to ensure President Uhuru is re-elected with a huge margin. The county boss said President Uhuru’s performance scoreboard speaks for itself, adding that he deserves another term in office to complete the projects he initiated during his first term in office.
