An unlucky French tourist will have a day to remember and a story to tell when he goes back home after curious lions chewed his camera worth £1,300 (about Sh192,400) in the Masaai Mara.
The unlucky photographer had set up his Canon DSLR camera on a tripod stand to take photos with a remote control when the curious lions came over to investigate.
According to the dailymail.co.uk, the unnamed photographer wanted to take a picture of the lions from very close range with a landscape lens when the lions pounced on it and started chewing the lens...Ouch!
"While i felt sad for the photographer, because it was not obviously what he was expecting, it was at the same time really funny and surreal." Engineer Thomas Selig, 28, another French photographer said
The whole scene lasted at least an hour until the lions finally got bored with the camera and dropped it in the bush where it was recovered.
