As early as 6 am local media houses had camped outside the residence of NASA leader Raila Odinga and Kalonzonzo Musyoka ahead of their swearing-in.
However, a spot check in the area reported minimal activities and the whereabouts of the two leaders remain unknown.
"We cannot confirm that Mr Odinga is in his Karen home.If he is indeed at home, then we do expect to see a convoy coming from Karen and proceeding all the way to Uhuru Park," said Citizen reporter Wilkister Nyabwa.
However, close reliable sources have revealed that as at noon Odinga was still holed up in his Karen home in a consultative meeting with opposition politicians after the dramatic blackout on major media houses.
Odinga's aides have also remained silent on his whereabouts despite the lack of heavy police presence and Karen and Uhuru Park.
The situation is similar at the residence of NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka, as NASA supporters continue to fil Uhuru Park.
