Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has termed Tana River Governor Hussein Dado's defection from the party to Jubilee as inconsequential.
Addressing supporters in Malindi Kilifi county Sunday, the NASA co-principal maintained that the governor had no influence among the opposition supporters and his move will affect neither the party nor the opposition block.
‘‘Dado moved a long time ago,his defection has no effect on the party and the block and his absence will not be felt as we have more younger and able candidates warming up for his position,’’said Musyoka.
Musyoka further said that Dado's move was not ideological alleging that he was bought over by the President Kenyatta-led side.
‘‘Jubilee has a habit of buying off expired leaders thinking that they are weakening us,they are wrong as we remain stronger,’’he said
On Sunday, during the Jubilee's rally held at the Tononoka Grounds in Mombasa,Dado and a host of other leaders officially announced their relocation to Jubilee Party where they were received by the Party leader President Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
Dado on the other hand said that his move was self-decided and no one coarsed him into leaving Wiper.
